On some commercial Steam Room installations, we use the Hygromatic Flexline steam generator.
This generator is of the “Electrode Boiler” type, which passes a current between electrodes in the steam cylinder.
To ensure problem free operation, and to ensure maximum life of the electrodes, you can assist by maintaining the steam cylinder as shown in the video.
Regular cleaning will help to remove the build up of scale and debris which forms in the steam cylinder as a general part of the operation.
How much build up and debris will depend on a number of factors including water quality, and how often you clean/maintain the cylinder.
The image above shows a steam cylinder with the electrodes, which are used to pass the electrical current through the water in the cylinder which in turn generates heat and turns the water into steam.
