One of the most exciting innovations in sauna technology is that of Infrared.
Infrared heat works in a different way to that of a conventional sauna heater, as it warms the body up from the inside as safe IR rays penetrate the skin to warm the blood as it flows around the body.
This warm blood is then pumped by the heart to our joints and muscles easing pain and aiding muscle recovery after sports.
The bodies core temperature is raised by one degree, which is similar to that when we have exercised, and is called by some “passive exercise”.
IR is very good for the removal of toxins from the blood stream, including heavy metals which we can breath in from traffic fumes etc.
IR is also very cost efficient, as it provides almost instant heat.
